DJ, producer, co-owner of the renowned FINA Records and one part of breakthrough DJ collective Melon Bomb, Corbi has established himself as a recognised and respected artist not only in his native Ibiza, but the world over.
Corbi’s first solo EP release ‘Cosmo’ was released to rave reviews in June 2016 on Anna Wall’s vital underground imprint The Bricks. Since then he’s released on a slew of essential labels, including Deso Records, Chapter Edits and – perhaps most notably – Luke Solomon and Justin Harris’s seminal Music For Freaks, with his collaborative edit of Queen drummer Roger Taylor’s 2 Sharp Pencils alongside Anna Wall: a record that was named as one of DJ Mag’s Top 20 remixes of 2017.
Outside of the studio, Corbi is part of the DJ collective Melon Bomb. With a breakthrough year in Ibiza in 2016, Melon Bomb received accolades from far and wide for their unique, party-minded blend of house and disco at venues like Pikes, Ushuaia and the legendary Space. 2017 saw Melon Bomb his Glastonbury, Southport Weekender Festival, Ministry of Sound, Pacha Ibiza, and Hi!, the last of which was as residents for Defected’s similarly hyped Glitterbox.
As a solo DJ, Corbi’s roots in early hardcore, jungle and hip-hop has resulted in enviable technical ability, with his sets based around a deep house sound mixed with edgy disco edits. It was the deep knowledge of dance music that landed his an A&R spot at FINA Records, which later developed into co-ownership alongside fellow Ibiza mainstay Simon Morell.
Nominated in 2015 as DJ Magazine’s Best New Label, FINA has come to be recognised as a stamp of quality, championing music from Monty Luke, Appian, Taron Trekka, Francis Inferno Orchestra, Borrowed Identity Rick Wade, Organ Grinder and Clip. Corbi’s involvement label has strengthened his network, music knowledge and ensured that he is always at the cutting edge of the scene.
2018 elevated Corbi further, with upcoming appearances at Southport Weekender and Suncebeat, and releases on FINA, Morris Audio and Beats Of No Nation.
