Melody’s Enemy are a British electronic music production duo and DJ act comprising of Andy Haeffele and Morgan Jones. A somewhat unorthodox pairing in modern Techno, the duo have been friends and musical allies since the heady jungle days of the mid-nineties, and are well known in Drum & Bass circles for their past work under the names Crystal Clear (producer/DJ) and Codebreaker (vocalist/MC). Between them they gained many releases across a wide spectrum of D&B’s best known labels including True Playaz, Ram Records and Metalheadz, and both regularly appeared in the top tiers of the scene’s nightlife.

Andy was also the production maestro behind Universal signed act Major Look in 2013. Although spending the majority of their later D&B careers in opposite sub genres of the scene, a reconvergence in 2015 saw them form Melody’s Enemy – a project designed to channel their shared ethos of ruggedness and ‘golden era’ D&B into today’s techno. They were quickly spotted by Dense & Pika, and began releasing on the techno heavyweights’ Kneaded Pains imprint in 2016. Since then they have surged forward, collaborating with their label bosses, as well as gaining following releases on Skream’s ‘Of Unsound Mind’, and collaborating with Drumcode’s Vinicius Honorio.

Sonically, the duo’s mantra resonates from the very roots of the dirty London dancefloors they exalted in for many years. Unafraid of vocal work and ‘song’ writing, cultivators of detuned, off-world sound design and heavy hitting palettes, they have gained extensive and continued support from names such as: Adam Beyer, Chris Liebing, Alan Fitzpatrick, Skream, Dubfire, Tiga, Dense & Pika, Maya Jane Coles and more.
