Apricot Ballroom is an audiophile party and DJ duo based in Sheffield, fronted and hosted by Dave Sheard and Gabriel Presland, AKA Nonna Fab and Joi La Frique.

Their shared journey began back in 2017 while both working on separate musical projects in Sheffield, when they bonded through shared musical tastes and party preferences. They began DJing together soon after, and eventually started Apricot Ballroom together in early 2018. Since then the party’s gone from strength to strength, regularly selling out their monthly events at Bal Fashions, starting a record label and mix series attached to the party, and becoming regular fixtures at some wonderful boutique UK festivals.

Between them they’ve been promoting and selecting records for parties for a combined 20 years or so, and bring a vibrant energy to any party they play. Their DJ sets reflect this experience, with deep, considered selections of obscure and interesting music from all across the world across a range of styles, but with a pure focus on the dance-floor.
