GALLEGOS

Oliver Gallegos is an emerging force in electronic music, known for his emotionally-driven and genre-blurring productions. Based in Bristol, with a growing international presence, he has released music on respected labels such as Rhythm Section, Holding Hands, Banoffee Pies, Semi Delicious, and Permanent Vacation. His work has earned him regular appearances at prestigious venues like Panorama Bar.

Originally from London, Gallegos’ musical journey began at an early age. Starting with the trumpet and drums, he later developed a passion for turntablism, which led him into Bristol’s vibrant Drum and Bass scene. He co-founded the influential club night SHAPES, a cornerstone of Bristol’s nightlife, where he performed alongside leading figures in electronic music, including Jeff Mills, Leftfield, and Floating Points.

His debut EP Memories You’ve Memorised on Rhythm Section blends 90s rave influences with modern electronic textures. The intricate rhythms and ambient soundscapes evoke nostalgia while embracing forward-thinking innovation, all of which are reflected in his unique sound. Gallegos’ work has gained support from key figures in the industry, including nd_baumecker, Bradley Zero, Moxie, Eris Drew, Job Jobse, TSHA, Avalon Emerson, Kornel Kovacs, and Peggy Gou.

In addition to his original releases, Gallegos has produced remixes for artists such as Robert Owens, Ian Pooley, and Eris Drew, receiving acclaim from BBC Radio 1, 6 Music, and SWU.FM. He also hosts a monthly show on SWU.FM for his label, Room Service, offering deeper insights into his broad musical influences and evolving sound.
