Since their 2013 debut 12 inch ‘International Smark’, Phil Passera and Jimmy Day’s PAYFONE project has continued to deliver again and again over a series of unique and collectable vinyl releases.

Split between studios in Brighton and Barcelona, and with a history of outings on highly respected labels such as Golf Channel, Leng and Defected, PAYFONE, 2025 saw the release of their long awaited debut album: LUNCH.

Rooted in their love of classic synthesisers and drum machines, the PAYFONE sound combines equal amounts of electronic and organic instrumentation, with a warm and inviting mid-tempo / slow disco vibe.

With a respectable catalogue of much loved material such as ‘Paradise’, ‘Sofian’, ‘I Was In New York’ , and the balearic picturesque seduction of ‘Last Night in Sant Celoni, PAYFONE have built an underground following of devoted fans represented by over 20 million online streams from across Europe and both North and South America.

After a decade of DJing in far reaching locations such as Los Angeles, Paris and Sao Paulo, whilst remixing for the likes of Roisin Murphy and 40 Thieves, PAYFONE now appear as a full live experience with the addition of new full time singer April Pittman aka Kitty Bronx from Brooklyn, NYC.

Summer 2025 saw PAYFONE performing live in London, Oslo, Paris & Barcelona.
